The New Anthology's Union Jack Coffee Table
The Golden Filter - "White Nights"
The Golden Filter - White Nights from inflatable girl clam on Vimeo.
unofficial video for The Golden Filter's "White Nights" track (aka Golden Filter's Christmas Lullaby Song) and Psychic TV cover.
someone had the sheer awesomeness to sync it up to scenes from "It's A Wonderful Life", albeit focusing a bit more on George's darker (alternate life) moments, making for a somewhat moodier listen.
if you're kinda bummed that it's an unofficial video, maybe the fact that you can download the real track for free off of them with the widget below in exchange for you email addy, might make up for that.
Thanks for the early Christmas gift TGF.
Happy Listening to All.

The Rapture of Death
How cool would this look on your display shelf or coffee table? Or maybe as a gift for that brooding-artist-type friend whose got a great wunderkammer but you can still never find anything for?
No problem. You can thank me later.
+++++
This unusual art book is a philosophical enquiry into the use of deathly imagery in contemporary art. It explores art and also literature, film and history to investigate why fear of death is an intrinsic part of life.
The Rapture of Death is the experience of delight upon escaping grave danger. It offers the sweet knowledge that you are safe, at least for the moment, from the clutches of darkness. Prue Gibson.
This literary non fiction art book is a protracted, personal and accessible essay into the meaning of mortal fear and its related symbols, myths, rhapsodies, warnings and curious obsessions.
Small, tactile and collectible, the book stalks monsters, nineteenth century ghost traditions, skulls, taxidermy, seventeenth century wunderkammer and the latest ‘curiosity art’ to find some answers. Discussions of burial poles, fetish and the glorious wings of angels add to the writer’s attempts to uncover our deepest deathly fears.

Mister Cartoon at the Marcel Gramercy Hotel in NY
Diane Cardwell of the New York Times writes, “As part of the hotel’s artist-in-residence series, Mister Cartoon, who is based in Los Angeles and usually has a three-to-six-month waiting list for appointments, which can cost tens of thousands of dollars, has created original artwork that hangs in the lobby. And from Nov. 14 through Wednesday, he is offering his services out of a two-bedroom suite.”
